As part of the Écoute l’artiste lecture series organized by the Réseau arts visuels Rouen Métropole, the Centre photographique invites the artist Patrick Tosani, whose works are currently presented in the group exhibition Le Parti pris des choses.
Patrick Tosani dialogues with photography in the closed space of his studio, seeking to probe the relationship with reality. From his first works in the 1980s to his recent Planètes, the artist will share his research and his journey, rich with nearly forty years of photographic experience.
Patrick Tosani (1954, France) has notably exhibited at the Musée d’art moderne de la ville de Paris (1993), the Museum Folkwang, Essen (1997), the Centre national de la photographie, Paris (1998), the Rencontres d’Arles (2001), the Centre photographique d’Île-de-France (2011), the Maison européenne de la photographie (2011) and more recently at the Musée de l’Orangerie (2020).
The lecture is introduced by Tania Vladova, professor of aesthetics at the ESADHaR.
