Czech photographer Julie Hrnčířová (winner of the 2022 FUTURES x Fotograf Zone award) led a three-week residency with three classes at the Lycée des métiers du bois et de l’éco-construction in Envermeu. The photographer, whose work focuses on the serendipitous moments of everyday life and the anonymous sculptures that dot urban environments, encouraged the students to create a variety of structures. Assembled from scrap wood salvaged from the workshops and the sawmill, these structures were then staged and photographed in the nearby forest.
